Official Opening 

The thirty eighth Claremorris Open Exhibition was officially opened by Helen O’Donoghue,  Senior Curator: Head of Education and Community Programmes, IMMA on Saturday, 19th September  in the Town Hall, Chapel Lane.

The prize fund was awarded to the following artists at the opening –

Paul McKinley (winner of the Credit Union Painting Prize) for his work Skull.

COE ’15 Curator

Brian Cass is the Curator for Creative Arts, Trinity College, Dublin. He was previously responsible for managing the Turner Prize and delivering it in Derry in 2013. He managed the Changing States: Contemporary Irish Art and the Francis Bacon Studio exhibition programme at BOZAR Centre for Fine Arts, Brussels, as part of Culture Ireland’s programme for Ireland’s presidency of the EU in 2013.

He held curatorial and project management roles with the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin, leading on projects such as Time out of Mind: Works from the IMMA Collection (2012); The Moderns: The Arts in Ireland from the 1900s to the 1970s (2010); Anne Tallentire: this and other things 1999-2010 (2010); Philippe Parreno: November (2009) and James Coleman (2008). He has written for, and edited, exhibition catalogues and artist books, directed and produced programmes for RTE, and was Gallery Manager of The Model, Sligo.
